Murraya paniculata “Orange or Thai Jasmine”
The medium-sized, finely-textured Murraya paniculata, often known as orange jasmine, has an upright, spreading, compact habit, with a dense crown of glossy green leaves. For most of the year, the small, red berries and white blossoms with an orange-blossom aroma are present. When this plant is in bloom, it is difficult to be within ten feet of it without smelling it. Bees are drawn to the blossoms, while birds are drawn to the berries. The shrub can have the appearance of boxwood in a formal garden and is well suited to shearing into a formal hedge or screen. Plant hedges three to four feet apart. On the other hand, a fast growth rate in their early years guarantees that multiple shearings will be required over the growing season. As one ages, growth slows. Deliverable
